Gary Michael Scarbrough, 69, of Peachtree City passed away February 11, 2016.  

He was a decorated war hero, having served in Viet Nam where he earned a Bronze Star. He was an avid baseball fan who also enjoyed fishing.  He loved to work in his yard and was known as a master with his grill.  He enjoyed spending time with his canine companion, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Irene Scarbrough. He is survived by his wife Aime Scarbrough of Newnan; his son Cody Michael Scarbrough of Newnan; his daughter Megan Elizabeth Scarbrough of Senoia; his sister Gail Wilson and her husband Mike of Sharpsburg; and his nephews Lane Hale and Justin Hale.

A gathering of friends and family was held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Carl J Mowell & Son Funeral Home in Peachtree City.  He will be buried at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at a later date.
