The Newnan-Coweta Chamber will hold its 68th Annual Chamber Meeting Thursday, Feb. 4, 2015, 6-8 p.m. at The Newnan Centre.
“Simply The Best” is the theme for this year’s Dinner Meeting, which is designed to honor the past and create the future as the Chamber tells the story of Coweta since the Chamber began, the journey to prosperity, and winning the 2015 National Chamber of the Year Award, narrated by Newnan Utilities General Manager Dennis McEntire.
Presented by Georgia Power Company, this annual meeting will be attended by business and community leaders, economic development partners and elected officials. Chamber leadership will pass from 2015 Board Chair Danny Beck, Beck Janitorial, to 2016 Board Chair Tony Ferguson, Georgia Power Company.
The annual celebration also serves as an opportunity to honor Chamber members who have made significant contributions to enhance the community during the past year. This year’s Prosperity Award winners will feature recognition for Elite Foam, Kason Industries, Inc., Spancrete, University of West Georgia, and Yokogawa Corporation of America.
The Volunteer of the Year Award will be given to an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary contributions of time and leadership that resulted in tangible benefits to the Chamber and its members, and the Chairman’s Award will be given to an individual in recognition of unique contributions to the Chamber and its members.
