Arlene Kay Richardson, resident of Peachtree City, died of natural causes on the morning of January 11, 2016. She was 61.

Arlene, the eldest daughter of Wallace Jewell Adams and Lila Margaret Adams (née Eining), was born on February 23, 1954 in Colorado Springs, Colo. She moved to Peachtree City in 1989 and married Henry Edward Richardson in 1990.

After working in the airline industry throughout her life, Arlene earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in 1994. She served Delta Airlines in numerous capacities for 21 years before her retirement from the Delta Community Credit Union.

She spent the last few years of her life dedicated to St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Jonesboro, where she held the position of business manager. Perhaps it is her staunch dedication to the Catholic faith for which Arlene will be best remembered. Having lost her husband in 2004, Arlene was very cognizant of the hardships which widows and widowers face. At the time of her death, Arlene was the organizer of a widowsí support group which she wished to implement throughout the metro Atlanta area.

Arlene’s death is grieved by her son, Travis Richardson; sister, Diane Adams; brother, Tim Adams; and niece, Joanna Baldwin.
