The first baby born at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in 2016 arrived at 2:22 a.m Friday, Jan. 1.

Izzabella Emani Murphy is the first child for parents Melissa and Donald Murphy II of East Point.

Melissa is a CT Technician for Piedmont Physicians Georgia Lung in Austell.

The parents arrived at the hospital at 1:30 a.m. and the proud parents received a gift basket valued at more than $300 that included gift donations the Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop, Chick-fil-A Dwarf House, Piedmont Credit Union, and more.

In addition, the family received a gift basket from Babies R’ Us (Newnan) and Edible Arrangements (Fayetteville) provided an edible bouquet in celebration of baby Izzabella’s arrival. Photos/Submitted.
