Christopher “Chad” Simon, 30, of Fayetteville, passed away at Piedmont Fayette Hospital on December 22, 2015.

Chad was born in San Angelo, Texas on Good Friday, April 5, 1985 and moved with his family to Georgia in 1988. Chad had an infectious smile and was a natural salesman with an affinity for documentaries and politics. But most of all, Chad cherished his family. He loved arguing with his younger sister about who was the bigger butterfinger, talking about the Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia Southern Eagles with his father, and talking politics with his oldest sister. Booboo loved talking to his mom about everything. Chad loved playing sports with his two young nephews and hearing their gleeful calls of Uncle Buddy. He also loved music and spent many happy hours involved in the music world and listening to his favorite songs.

Chad is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Patricia Bell and paternal grandfather Lynne “Lefty” Akin.

Chad is survived by his parents Terry and Connie Simon of Fayetteville; sisters Crista Simon and Chandra Childs and her husband Andy all of Fayetteville; two nephews Brendan and Braxton Childs; maternal grandfather Tom Harsh of Andrews, Texas; paternal grandmother Lynne Akin of Newnan; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins scattered throughout the United States.

The Memorial Service for Chad will be Monday, January 4, 2016, at 1 p.m. at 3435 Jonesboro Road, McDonough, Ga. 30253. It will be an outdoor ceremony so please dress appropriately.

The family is asking that, in lieu of flowers, you make a donation on the go fund me page www.gofundme.com/mcgj5nw4set up by his sisters so that the family can make a single donation to shatterproof.org in Chad’s name.
