When it comes to the new Georgia Milestones Assessment System student performance methodology, teachers at the Coweta Charter Academy at Senoia (CCAS) and CCAS parents could not be happier.
Student scores in math, science, English Language Arts (ELA)and social studies topped scores in the Coweta County School System and statewide marks in many grade categories, said Principal Gene Dunn.
The new and more stringent statewide system has replaced previous assessment methodologies such as the CRCT (Criterion-Reference Competency Tests) that used less specific ratings.
