The Fayette County Cooperative Extension Office honored Master Gardener Extension Volunteers recently at the 2nd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.
The Master Gardener Program is a volunteer training program under the direction of the University of Georgia, where volunteers share research-based information about gardening and related subjects to the public.
In 2015, the group’s 72 active Fayette County MGEVs volunteered 4,262 hours and traveled over 21,000 miles in support of Extension projects and educational programs. Volunteers who reached volunteer service milestones and individuals who donated over 100 hours of volunteer service were also honored.

Ten-year recognition: Karen Borg, Tommy Waller.
Fifteen-year recognition: Al Baird. Jane Langford.
