Vivian Callaway Bullock slipped the bonds of this world and joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 11, 2015.

Born to L. Hugh Callaway and Mamie Royal Callaway, March 27, 1923, Vivian grew up in Randolph County Ga. After graduation she moved to Atlanta and began her banking career with the C&S National Bank, now Bank of America. She met her future husband, Osborn Cordy (O.C.) Bullock when she rented a room from his Aunt on Oakdale Road close to Emory University. They married on November 5, 1949 at Druid Hills Baptist Church, Atlanta, Ga. He ran his own company and she continued working for C&S Bank until the birth of their first daughter. Later after both daughters were in elementary school, Vivian returned to work at the bank on a part-time basis until her daughters were older teenagers. Serving the Emory professionals, homemakers, students, business owners and senior citizens in her various capacities at the bank kept Vivian informed of her community and their banking needs. Her retirement from C&S dovetailed nicely with the arrival of grandchildren to enjoy and a beautiful country to explore.

Both Vivian and O.C. were active members of Druid Hills Baptist and various organizations within the Decatur community. Gardening was one of Vivian’s greatest joys, and the Bullock yard reflected that passion. Vivian never gave up her south Georgia roots and returned quite frequently to her beloved rural community. Her two brothers and sister and their families, along with her parents, continued to reside in the SW area of the state.

Downsizing from their Decatur home, Vivian and O.C. moved to Fayetteville, Ga., the week the 1996 Summer Olympics came to Atlanta. The move brought them in close proximity to their younger daughter and 45 minutes closer to Randolph County. Both became committed members of National Heights Baptist Church and active Fayette County community volunteers.

Vivian is survived by her daughters Cordy (R.C.) Reagan, Karen Bullock, grandsons Scott Reagan, Alan Reagan, sister Wynelle (Edwin) Andrews and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Saturday, November 14. 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Dr. J. W. Wallis officiated. The burial followed at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker. The family received friends Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may send memorials to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home, 505 Water Works Rd, Palmetto, Ga. 30268 or Fayette Samaritans, 126 Hickory Rd, Fayetteville, GA 30214.
