Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI), a Reform Jewish community located in Fayette County, is celebrating the Hanukkah season with two very special events for Jewish families, friends, and neighbors. All are invited to celebrate and join in the festivities.
The first event will be the Lighting of the Hanukkah Menorah with Rabbi Harkavy, planned for Sunday, Dec. 6, from 5 – 6 p.m. at the Fountain in Heritage Park (by the county offices near downtown Fayetteville).
Refreshments, crafts, singing, and retelling of the Hanukkah story will begin at 5 p.m.
The second event will be the Lighting of the Hanukkah menorah at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at Barnes & Noble in Newnan, 342 Newnan Crossing Bypass. The events will feature songs, the story of Hanukkah and menorah lighting.
