Robert Ladd, former Marine and longtime member of Fayette County Post 105 of The American Legion, raises the Marine Corps flag in front of Log Cabin in Fayetteville during the observance of the USMC Birthday.
The U.S. Marine Corps was created Nov. 10, 1775 by the Second Continental Congress.
Post 105 is a veterans service organization and meets at the Log Cabin the second Monday of each month.
