Georgia Department of Transportation projects to improve highway infrastructure throughout metro Atlanta continue over the Halloween weekend, weather permitting. Construction on the I-75 Express Lanes projects and I-285 will require lane closures, which, in turn, are likely to result in delays.
The Department reminds Halloween goers to give themselves enough travel time to reach their destinations and Drive Alert! Buckle up, stay off your mobile devices, and drive alert – do not drive distracted or impaired. Trick-or-treaters are advised look twice before crossing the road and be careful if they walk near or through a work zone.
Motorists are encouraged to call 511 or consult 511ga.org before departing for real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
