A Senoia man was arrested on burglary charges Oct. 14 after using a fake employee ID to steal prescriptions at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.

Grant Christopher Allison, 43, was charged with two counts of burglary, according to Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Whitlow.

Whitlow said Allison was charged in two separate incidents at Piedmont Fayette Hospital that occurred on Oct. 6 and Oct. 10.

Whitlow said Allison entered restricted areas of the hospital wearing a fake employee badge. He took prescriptions from computer terminals in those areas then had the prescriptions filled at area pharmacies, said Whitlow.

A search warrant executed at Allison’s home on Oct. 14 by officers from Fayetteville and Senoia resulted in evidence seized. Allison was taken into custody without incident, Whitlow said.

Fayetteville investigators believe Allison has committed the same crime at hospitals in Newnan and Henry counties and are working with investigators in those jurisdictions, said Whitlow.

Whitlow said additional charges against Allison are expected.
