Robert “Bobby” C. Fincher, 62, residing in Mishawaka, Ind. passed away at 5:53 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

Bobby was born on August 17, 1953 in Alabama to Clyde Robert Fincher and Anna Joyce (Bonner) Fincher.  His father, Clyde Robert Fincher has preceded him in death.  

Robert graduated from North Clayton High School, College Park, Ga. and Georgia State University. He proudly served our country in the United States Army.  While serving in the Army, he was a paratrooper and also served as a chaplain.

On February 7, 2007 in Atlanta, Ga. he was united in marriage to Eunice R. (Garcia) Fincher, who survives.  Bobby was a junior and senior high school teacher for many years. He also worked as a free-lance truck driver, and previously owned and operated several frozen yogurt stores.  For many years, he served in technical support for Baptist Towers in East Point, Ga. and also worked for Delta Airlines at the reservation desk. He loved to fish and enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish. Along with fishing, he also enjoyed riding his bike. He attended Luz y Vida Missionary Church, Mishawaka. Bobby will long be remembered for his loving care of his mother and father.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Eunice R. Fincher of Mishawaka; daughters, Maggie (Jonathan) Reni of Puerto Rico, Mai Hernandez of California, and Mari Hernandez of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Jonathan Reni, James Reni, and Ema Reni; sister, Tami (Charles) Elliott of Sharpsburg, Ga.; nephew, Brandon (Mary) Bentley of Savannah, Ga.; and his mother, Anna Joyce Fincher of Newnan, Ga.

A memorial service for Bobby will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, Ind. 46615.  Pastor Amado Lopez will officiate.
