Fayette County 21, Cedartown 15

Anthonie Powell threw three touchdown passes, two to Wade Barlow and one to Daylan Whipple. Barlow had four catches for 114 yards and Whipple caught three passes for 49 yards. Powell led the Tigers with 72 rushing yards to go with 183 through the air. Sean Harper had eight individual tackles and Teras Hagans recovered a fumble.

 

McIntosh 35, Morrow 6

 

The Chiefs led 21-0 at the end of the first quarter and 35-0 in the third. Bradley Ector rushed for 100 yards and scored on runs of 51 and 15 yards. Kyle Riesselmann added a 1-yard TD run. Zach Sanders threw scoring passes to Taylor Casterline (10 yards) and Dane Kinamon (12 yards). Parker Romo converted all five extra points, and Brandon McDowell had an interception.

 

Our Lady of Mercy 14, Terrell County 8

 

The Bobcats scored on their first two possessions of the game. Jared Emerson capped off the first drive with a 34-yard scoring run, and after a very short punt from Terrell County’s own end zone gave OLM the ball at the 4, Emerson scored on the next play. He had 134 rushing yards for the game.

 

Sandy Creek 41, Auburn (Ala.) 6

 

The Patriots got rushing touchdowns from Marvin Hubbard and Eric Woods, while Bryant Walker threw scoring passes to Major Weems and Korey Banks. The defense got a pair of touchdowns, from Ian Barnes on an interception return and Elijah Gilmore on a fumble return.

 

East Coweta 28, Campbell 6

 

The Indians led the entire night and amassed 412 yards of total offense. Will LaGuardia was 19 of 22 for 192 yards and 3 scores, while the ground attack was led by Devonta Brown (111 yards, 1 TD) and Carlos Ford (86 yards). Brown caught seven passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Nick Clarke had 6 catches for 71 yards, and Chaz Cherry and Chris Franklin had TD catches. Jeremiah Gemmel had 5 tackles and 3 assists along with a blocked punt. Dontavius Burks recorded a sack, Reggie Jones forced a fumble and Jonah Steerman recovered a fumble.

 

Central-Carroll 20, Landmark 13

 

Stockton McGuire and Lofton Tidwell combined for more than 150 rushing yards and McGuire completed 20 passes for 200+ yards. Joey Blount, Luke McLain, and Wix Patton each caught at least 5 passes in the game and Patton had a season-high 7. Joshua Cobb and Brandon Stone were the leading tacklers for the War Eagles on the night.

 

Northgate 32, Mundy’s Mill 7

 

The Vikings improved to 5-0 and gave up only their second touchdown of the season. The team is averaging 47.2 points per game.
