Marie Josephine DelPrince, 89, of Fayetteville, Ga., passed away on August 12, 2015 surrounded by her family in Fayetteville, Georgia.

We cannot tell you how she died, we can only tell you how she lived. She espoused principles of kindness, genuine love, and honesty. She spent her entire life in the service of others – a life of true selflessness. Painting, sculpting and crafts were her passion and her gifts were always homemade.

She was born on Jan. 27, 1926, to the late Felix and Ralphina (Severino) Sespico of Ashtabula, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert DelPrince Jr.; her son, Jeffrey Lynn DelPrince; her grandson, Trestan Joalyn; her brothers, Frank and Phil (Felix Jr.) Sespico; sisters-in-law, Thelma and Jean Sespico, a nephew, Ron Sespico; and great-nephew, David (Sespico) Weaver. She is survived by her children, Roberta, Gary and Renee, all of Fayetteville, Ga.; grandchildren, Tessa, Trevor and Tefan-Mario; a daughter-in-law, Leslie DelPrince of Akron, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Ashtabula High School, her year book was marked as “a person with a most pleasing personality.” Her big smile, her warm embraces, her gentle voice, and helping hands made those that came in contact with her feel they were right at home. As she wanted, a quiet Catholic Service honoring her life was held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City, Ga. Her body was flown back home and laid to rest at the family burial grounds in St. Joseph Cemetery in Ashtabula, Ohio.

Her Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at St. Joseph’s Cemetery and celebrate memories of this well-loved woman in the privacy of her resting place. Marie was an advocate of those suffering with the debilitating disease of mental illness. For this reason, the family request that donations be sent to a cause held closest to her heart.

Checks can be received at Mental Health America, 2000 N. Beauregards St., 6th floor, Alexandrea, Va. 22311, or you can go online to MHA’s website and donate on her memorial URL page: takeaction.mentalhealthamerica.net/goto/mariedelprince
