The family of Elizabeth Pearson Launsby of Marietta, S.C., is celebrating her peaceful homegoing on Friday 8/28/15.

Born in Birmingham, Ala., on September 7, 1921, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Miller Launsby; parents, John and Lillie Mae Pearson; brothers, Rufus and John J. Pearson; sisters, Bessie Grimmet, Annie Mae Lewis, Louise Post and Nyra Pearson.

She is survived by her sons: Ronald Wayne (wife, Rhvonda) Launsby of Houston, Texas, Michael Eugene Launsby (wife, Becky) of Lake Charles, La.  Daughters, Carolyn Diane Pappalardo (husband, Buddy) of Lake Placid, Fla. and Cindy Lou Howard (husband, Joe) of Pickens, S.C.; brother, Fred Pearson; sisters, Lillian Woodman, Greenville, S.C., Myra Summers, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Elizabeth was a great seamstress and homemaker who enjoyed traveling.  She worked as a sales clerk for 10 years for Jackson Byron’s department store.  She loved to go fishing with her husband and was known for her great sense of humor.  She was most well known for her kindness and caring shown toward her family, always supporting them whenever she could.

Elizabeth accepted Jesus into her heart on Christmas morning at 80 years old.  She went on to keep a happy outlook and make many new friends with caregivers, friends of family and the staff at Christian City and finally at Hope Health and Rehab in Marietta, S.C.

Memorial Service will be held at Mansion Memorial Park at 1400 36 Avenue E., Ellenton, Fla. 34222 on September 26, 2015 at 10 a.m.
