The third Interfaith Luncheon was recently hosted by the Fayetteville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as a thank you to all those who contributed to the Smart Lunch Smart Kid summer lunch program this past summer. Approximately 75 guests attended the luncheon, including Methodists, Islamics, Presbyterians, Lutherans, Baptists and Catholics. The program, a ministry of Action Ministries in Atlanta, provides lunches to children who have been on the free/reduced lunch program during the school year. An average of 750-800 lunches were made and delivered each day to Fayette County residents primarily, with the exception of one mobile home park just across the county line in Fulton County. To become involved in the program, contact Cindy Hall from Action Ministries at [email protected]. Photo/Special.
Thank you Dr. Patterson. Congratulations to our fine schools in Fayette County and the many excellent teachers and staff members…
