Donald R. McLean, 88, of Marbury, Ala., formerly of Peachtree City, passed away August 25, 2015.

Mr. McLean proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force during World War II. He was a retired air traffic controller with the Federal Aviation Administration. Don loved woodworking, RV’ing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved fixing things, building things and helping the family with projects. He was always there for his family.

He was born Feb. 11, 1927 in Alliance, Ohio to Clarence and Edna McLean, and graduated from Alliance High School in June, 1945.

Mr. McLean was preceded in death by his parents, formerly of Kissimmee, Fla., and brother Harry (Ben) McLean of Washington, D.C.

Don is survived by his wife, Nancy McLean of Marbury, Ala.; his children, Deborah Morrison of Norton, Ohio, Linda Price of Massillon, Ohio, Donald McLean, Jr. of Massillon, Ohio, Sherrie Stoddard of Senoia, Ga., David McLean of Smyrna, Ga., Kevin McGill of Cape Coral, Fla., John Garris of Marbury, Ala., Tammy Matta of Dalton Ohio, and Cindy Hurst of Westerville Ohio; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Janet McLean of Canton Ohio, sister-in-law Eleanor McLean of Washington, D.C. and niece, Barbara Hodges of Bulls Gap, Tenn.

The family received friends on Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City.
