Field Day coming for amateur radio enthusiasts

The Fayette County Amateur Radio Club (FCARC) will be participating in the American Radio Relay League’s Field Day June 27-28, beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday and running for 24 hours.

The event will be at Merimac Lakes Park in Senoia off of Plyant Street.

All are welcome to visit the site and learn more about amateur radio and how local “hams” are able to step up to the plate in an emergency and provide communications when the local infrastructure is degraded due to disaster.
