Ouma Leone was a true lady, the personification of love, faith, kindness, grace, heartfelt hospitality and feisty strength. She was the real heart and soul of her family.
She had a zest for living that was inspiring and brought a smile to everyone who had the good fortune of knowing her. She made instant and lifelong friends wherever she went and she had an amazing ability to make people feel special and loved. She brought an artist’s touch to everything she did, from her wonderful cooking to her beautiful flower arrangements to her lovely, welcoming home, where the door was always open.
Leone’s greatest and lasting legacy is her family and the special way she touched each of us. We will find peace, joy and comfort in our wonderful memories of her. We are all profoundly grateful for her extraordinary life. She was one of a kind, and we were truly blessed to have had her in our lives.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Leone’s life on Wednesday, June 10, at 5 p.m., at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church.
