Newnan native Jeff Bishop will be speaking about and showing photographs from his new book “Images of America: Newnan” at a special presentation titled “Newnan: Then and Now” Thursday, June 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Coweta Public Library System’s central library on Literary Lane.

Photographs of various parts of Newnan will be shown to illustrate how the town has changed over the years.

Within the past year Bishop received his master’s degree in history from the University of West Georgia, was appointed director of the Newnan-Coweta Historical Society, was commissioned by the Newnan Theatre to write a play based on an infamous murder in Coweta, and published his book.

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to register either at the library or by calling 770-683-2052.
