Wendell Coffee Golf Center in Tyrone is offering a series of four-day golf camps for ages 6-15 throughout the summer.
They are designed to teach children the basics of golf and how fun the sport can be – the setup, swing, pitch & chip shots, sand shots, putting stroke, how to hit the woods, etiquette, and rules.
Each junior will receive different instruction according to their level of play. Lunch, drinks, and prizes included. Parents may drop kids off as early as 8 a.m. and clubs are provided if needed.
There are eight camps remaining, each one Monday through Thursday. Campers can sign up for any week or for a single day.
Dates are 8-11, 15-18 and 22-25; July 6-9, 13-16, 20-23 and 27-30; and Aug. 3-6.
Cost is $210 per week and $60 for a single day. Repeat campers pay $185 for the second week, $160 for the third week and $150 for the fourth week. Additional family members are $175 each for the first week.
The daily camp schedule is from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. After warmups, players work on swing, short game and putting until lunch. A golf video is viewed at lunch, followed by nine holes on the par-3 course.
