Citizens in and around Peachtree City with unwanted prescription medicines have a safe and legal way to dispose of them.
According to city officials, the meds can be brought to the Peachtree City Police Station between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays.
A number of items are not allowed under the disposal plan, such as needles/sharp items, syringes with needles, thermometers, IV bags, bloody or infectious waste, personal care products, empty containers, inhalers, medical equipment, or hydrogen peroxide.
