Joshua William Jones, 34, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., passed away May 21, 2015.

A celebration of his life will be held at St. Andrew’s in the Pines, 316 N. Peachtree Parkway, Peachtree City, Ga. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 3 p.m.  Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. in the Parish Hall at the church.  

Josh moved to Peachtree City from Fernandina Beach, Fla. at the age of six, attending Oak Grove Elementary, playing football for JC Booth Middle School and briefly attending McIntosh and Sandy Creek High Schools. While Josh began playing soccer in Florida, he continued in Peachtree City with the youth league and then the Lazers premier team, often playing goalie, as well as forward and striker. Josh attended Trinity Valley Community College and graduated with his construction sciences degree from The University of North Florida.

Josh is preceded in death by his younger brother, Demery Patton Paulk; his maternal grandparents, Winifred Wildes and Isaac Demery Johnson of Fernandina Beach, Fla; his paternal grandparents, Cleveland Lee Jones of West Palm Beach and Louise Young of Jacksonville, Fla.; and his uncles, Jeffrey J. Johnson of Fernandina Beach and Robert L Jones of New Smyrna.

Josh is survived by his mother, Sharon J. Jones of New Smyrna; his father and stepmother, William R. and Sally Jones of Jacksonville, Fla.; his aunt, Dalana W. Johnson of Tallahassee, Fla.; his maternal uncle, Michael D. Johnson (Elaine) of Marietta, Ga.; his paternal uncle, John E. Jones (Cherisse) of Lake Worth, Fla.; his aunt, Janis Johnson, Fernandina Beach, along with his cousins, Amanda ‘Mandy’ Couch (John), Kimberly Sullivan (Paul) of Greenville, S.C., and Amber Grabowski (Chad) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Amelia Johnson and Aaron Johnson of Fernandina Beach and their beautiful families.
