The Peachtree City Library has transitioned to its summer hours and launched its summer reading program.

The library is now open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.

With the summer reading program, “Every Hero Has a Story,” young readers can track how long they read to win prizes.

There will also be a number of free programs over the summer break including a reptile show, magic shows, and other events.

Online registration for the summer reading program is underway. For a printable calendar of events go to http://www.peachtree-city.org/DocumentCenter/View/7502. To register online for events, go to http://peachtreecitylibrary.eventbrite.com.

While you are at it, check out the Friends of the Library’s online children’s book fair at https://e4985.myubam.com/Event/78625. The library will receive 50 percent of all sales from the web site to purchase new children’s books.
