Grady Merritt Stimpson, 16, of Fayetteville

Grady Merritt Stimpson, 16, of Fayetteville, passed away on May 20, 2015.  Grady, a rising 12th grader, was a shining star at Starr’s Mill High School.

He earned a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and was selected to serve as an instructor at Master Shim’s World Class Tae Kwon Do.  Grady’s loving heart, bright smile and cheerful spirit enriched countless lives.  Grady mentored many in the community he loved and will be missed by all. 

Grady was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Kincaid.  Grady is survived by his mother, Jill Stimpson; his father and step-mother, Tod (Kimberly) Stimpson; his brothers, Cooper Stimpson and Ross Stimpson; his maternal grandmother, Diana (Albert) Petsel; his paternal grandparents, Janice (James) Greenwood; his aunts and uncles; a host of many cousins and special friends and family, and his sweetheart, Alina Kent.  

A celebration of his life was held on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 5 p.m. at Heritage Christian Church, 2130 Redwine Road, Fayetteville, Ga., with Pastor Mike Conaway officiating.

The family expresses deep gratitude to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, Fayette County Coroner’s Office, Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Homes, and Heritage Christian Church.
