For one night only, the Holliday Dorsey Fife Museum will open its doors from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, May 30 for a special “Night at the Museum” event. It will feature costumed docents to lead tours and answer questions. For those who wish to enjoy a beautiful night, they can enjoy live music on the lawn.
The Museum’s event will run in conjunction with Victoria Wilcox’s book signing taking place that evening at Twisted Taco in Downtown Fayetteville. Those who purchase Wilcox’s book, “The Last Decision,” that evening will receive free admission to the museum.
Wilcox is a local author who wrote the “Southern Son” saga about the life of Doc Holliday. The final book in the saga, “The Last Decision,” was released earlier this month. Wilcox is considered a hero of the museum for helping to spearhead the campaign that saved the Holliday Dorsey Fife House.
The Holliday Dorsey Fife Museum is located off the Fayetteville square at 140 West Lanier Avenue. Its normal operating hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with extended Friday hours of 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
