The Fayette Humane Society (FHS) is participating in a month long campaign called “Back in Black” to increase adoptions of black cats and dogs.

During the month of April, FHS adoption fees will be reduced for black, or mostly black, cats and kittens, as well as select black dogs. The adoption fee includes FLV/FIV or heartworm testing, de-worming, flea treatment, age-appropriate vaccinations, and spay or neuter.

The FHS, as a partner of Best Friends “No More Homeless Pets” Network, is participating in the promotion to help Best friends with its mission of saving all animals.

Best Friends created this popular promotion to raise awareness of these special animals who are often the last to be adopted.

The FHS, a 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue group, holds cat and dog adoptions at the Peachtree City PetSmart store on Saturdays, noon to 4 p.m. and on Sundays, 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
