Edward “Ed” Leon Buckner, of Fayetteville, Ga. went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2015.
Ed was born on November 13, 1925 in Atlanta, Ga. He had served his country in the U.S.A.F, and then he attended Georgia Tech. Ed was a member of the Church of Christ where he formerly served as a Deacon and Elder, he was also a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 72 for 68 years.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years Doris Buckner; daughter Pam Buckner Walker & husband, Frank; sons Steve Buckner and Don Buckner & wife, Marion; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; nephews Tom, Doug, and Bruce Buckner; niece Teresa Frick.
A funeral service was Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son Peachtree City Chapel. The interment will be at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City. The family received friends Monday at the funeral home.
