Spring Hill Elementary in Fayetteville will have its annual Trash Dash 5K race at 6:30 p.m. on March 13.
A one mile fun run will start at 6 p.m. before the Trash Dash, and refreshments will be provided after the race.
First place male and female 5k winners will receive a $50 gift card to Play It Again Sports. The top 5k age group winners will receive event awards, and door prizes will also be awarded. An iPad is among the items to be given away this year. Only registered runners who are present are eligible to win.
There are three ways to register. Pay $20 for the 5K, which includes a guaranteed t-shirt if registered by Feb. 21. Runners can register for a “no-tee” race fee of only $10. Spend $10 and register as a “phantom runner” who attends and is eligible to win the iPad, but doesn’t run.
