Southern Crescent Chorale is making its 11th appearance at Spivey Hall with an upbeat presentation called “Americana” on March 7.
As part of the season theme “Salute to America,” the chorale will delight the audience with a performance of American folk songs, hymns, and spirituals. A versatile group of musicians, the chorale will sing challenging and beautiful selections of many favorites, including “Precious Lord, Take My Hand; Steal Away; God of Our Father; Shenandoah;” and “Cindy.”
Artistic Director and Conductor Janice Folsom said the concert “will run the gamut of emotions. The wide variety of musical styles will make you want to tap your toes and wipe your eyes. There will be something for everyone.”
