Give blood to save lives, donate food to sustain the needy, and have lunch all in one stop at the Senoia United Methodist Church.
The church and the Senoia Optimist Club are co-sponsoring the blood drive on Monday, Feb. 2, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the church’s Fellowship Hall in the back of the church building.
Senoia United Methodist Church is located at 229 Bridge Street, at the intersection of Bridge and Seavy streets.
Donors are encouraged to bring one or more non-perishable food items to the blood drive. Any non-perishable product is appreciated, but single-serving food items that can be used as part of the “Backpack Buddies” weekend meal program for students are greatly needed. Included on the list of desired food products are single-serving cereals, Ramen / Manchurian noodles, canned meats, Chef Boyardee single-serving meals and other similar items.
Members of the Senoia Optimist Club will be on hand to offer donors their “famous” grilled cheese sandwiches, and will also hand out many free coupons to area businesses.
