Rose Ciandella, 84, died peacefully on Dec. 7, 2014 after a brief illness.

Born Rose Prezioso in Jersey City, N.J., on July 1, 1930, she worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York before meeting Patrick Ciandella at an annual dance in Jersey City. The two married in 1952, the union was broken only by Patrick’s passing in 2012, at age 89. Rose raised three children – Laurie and sons, Robert and Donald – in Jersey City, Berkeley Heights, N.J., and Massapequa, N.Y., on the south shore of Long Island.

Rose and Pat relocated to Peachtree City from New York in 1980 and then to Sharpsburg in 1996, culminating their 60 years together traveling, golfing, entertaining, and loving family and friends.

Rose is preceded in death by her husband Patrick; her daughter, Laurie; parents, Ermelinta (Mildred) and August Prezioso; sister, Louise Iannelli; and brother, John Prezioso.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Campobasso, 82, of Toms River, N.J.; and her two sons and their families: Robert Ciandella (Debra Tillar) of New Castle, N.H., and Don Ciandella (Jonah Rivera) of Jersey City, N.J. She also is survived by four grandchildren: Nicole of Washington, D.C., Daniele of New York City, and Sofia and Calum of Jersey City.

A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 101 Walt Banks Road in Peachtree City. Inurnment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
