Patricia Suzanne Wilkerson, 89, of Peachtree City, Ga. was called to her Heavenly home on January 1, 2015. She was born on February 17, 1925 in Elkhart, Ind. to Morton and Augusta (Frank) Main and grew up in Sturgis, Mich. until her senior year of high school when her family relocated to Dearborn. She graduated from Dearborn High School and lived in Dearborn most of her life.

Patricia married Jack T. Wilkerson on May 4, 1946 at the First United Methodist Church of Dearborn where they would remain members for over 50 years. At the time of her death, she was a member of Cokes Chapel United Methodist Church in Sharpsburg, Ga.

Patricia is survived by her loving daughters, Jacqueline Wilkerson of Traverse City, Mich. and Madeline (Jayme) Cruz of Peachtree City; three granddaughters, known as the apples of her eye, Sloane Kelley of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Erin Monigold of Traverse City, and Melissa Cruz of Peachtree City; brother, Robert (Belinda) Main of Taylor, Mich.; special sister-in-law, Elizabeth Main, of South Bend, Ind.; and beloved nieces and nephews.

Although Patricia and Jack lived the majority of their married life in Dearborn, they lived in Owensboro, Ky. from 1960 – 1964 where Patricia was secretary to the president of Kentucky Wesleyan College. After the family returned to Dearborn, she worked as secretary to the president of Engineering & Research at Kelsey-Hayes Company where she retired in 1988. After attending night classes at the University of Michigan-Dearborn for many years, Patricia was happy to earn a BA in History in 1989.

Upon retirement, Patricia and Jack travelled to Europe many times, as well as a unique trip to Egypt including a boat cruise down the Nile.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack, in 2003 and siblings, Larry Main, Morton (Faye) Main, and Janet (Norman) Charles.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Christian City in Union City, Ga., Southland Health and Rehabilitation and Ashley Glen Assisted Living, both in Peachtree City Ga., and Fairburn Health Care Center in Fairburn Ga.

Memorial services will be held in the spring in Michigan and Kentucky with interment at Owensboro Memorial Gardens in Kentucky.
