A mid-morning house fire on Dec. 13 in Peachtree City resulted in no injures but left the home significantly damaged. Peachtree City Fire Department spokesman Ron Mundy said the fire at 129 Burnham Rise on the city’s south side was reported just after 10 a.m.
Units arrived within five minutes to find a heavily involved fire with heavy flames in the kitchen area, Mundy said. Mundy said a vehicle was in the driveway so firefighters did a search but found no one at home.
The family had been at a school function and arrived home about 30 minutes after firefighters began fighting the blaze. Mundy said firefighters rescued multiple pets from the home, including a python that was subsequently resuscitated. The damage to the home was significant, said Mundy.
