A Peachtree City man was arrested Oct. 27 on charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault in connection to a domestic disturbance where he kidnapped his girlfriend’s sister at gunpoint and transported her to Atlanta.
Datavius Q. Holland, 25, of 100 North Meade Drive, was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, theft, simple battery and cruelty to children, according to Peachtree City Police spokesperson Odilia Bergh.
Bergh said officers on Oct. 21 at approximately 8 a.m. responded to the North Meade Drive residence after a call pertaining to a domestic disturbance.
“Once on the scene, officers discovered that Datavius Holland had physically accosted his live-in girlfriend, during the argument. The physical confrontation occurred in front of a child,” Bergh said. The girlfriend asked her sister to try and retrieve her belongs from her vehicle before Holland left the home, Bergh added.
“As the sister approached the car, Holland ordered her into the vehicle, against her will, at gunpoint. The victim was driven to a MARTA station, where the offender exited the car and left the area,” Bergh said. “The sister was not physically harmed. Due to the propensity for violence and prior knowledge of Holland, the U.S. Marshall’s Office was notified and their assistance requested in locating Holland.”
Bergh said Holland was located in Atlanta on Oct. 27 and arrested without incident.
