A total of 30 students studying German from Fayette County High, McIntosh High and Starr’s Mill High schools spent three weeks in the German state of Hessen this summer, completing an exchange with their German high school partners who visited Fayette this past April.

While in Germany, the Fayette students lived with host families and attended the German high schools of Main-Taunus Schule and Gesamtschule am Rosenberg. They also participated in field trips that explored different aspects of German history and culture.

The German teachers who organized and chaperoned the trip, which took place July 7-25, are Kevin Keough, McIntosh High; Betty Mason, Fayette County High; and Antonela Kljajic, Starr’s Mill High.
