Woolsey starts new Sunday school year
Woolsey Baptist Church, 115 Hampton Road in Fayetteville, will have a Meet the Teacher/New Sunday School Year for Children and Parents on Sunday, Aug. 10 at 9:30 a.m. This begins the new church year and is for children K through sixth grade. The new Awana year begins on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 6:30 p.m. Awana is for children three years old through sixth grade. COS changes schedule
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City announces a schedule change, effective Aug. 10: Sunday morning services are now at 10:50 a.m. (contemporary worship) and 8:30 and 11 a.m. (traditional worship). Saturday worship remains at 7 p.m. On Aug. 10 the Sanctuary Choir will return to traditional services after a brief summer break and the 2nd Sundays Band will lead contemporary worship. The church is on the corner of Ga. Hwy. 54 and Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.
Free genealogy class offered
The LDS Church’s Fayetteville Family History lab will host a free class on Finding Your Family in the Census. Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at 2021 Redwine Road in Fayetteville. GriefShare starts at Holy Trinity
GriefShare, a 13-week Christian support group for those who have lost a loved one, will be offered at Holy Trinity Church, 101 Walt Banks Rd, Peachtree City. Meetings include a video seminar and an opportunity to interact and share with others who have lost a loved one. Help pack Stop Hunger meals Aug. 24
Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will host a Stop Hunger Now meal packing event on Aug. 24. Lunch will be at 12 p.m. and packing will start at 1 p.m. The church is at 175 E.
