Who better than a veteran to hand out American flags on the 4th of July? As is their tradition, all five military veterans groups in Fayette County are banding together to distribute thousands of American flags during the Peachtree City 4th of July Parade. The flags are made in America and represent the financial commitment of our veterans to patriotism in our community. With handfuls of flags are (L-R) Stony Lohr of VFW Post 9949 in Peachtree City, Bill Stevens and Greg Gouin of the Marine Corps League Detachment 1325, Ron Stubbs of VFW Post 3650 in Fayetteville; Leigh Blood of American Legion Post 50 in Peachtree City along with his grandsons Joshua Harris and Nathan Harris, and Robert Ladd of American Legion Post 105 Fayette County.
