Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone invites the community to help package over 10,000 meals that will be shipped to those in need around the world. This annual meal packing event will be held on Saturday, March 29, at 10 a.m, at the church.

The event is supported by “Stop Hunger Now,” an international hunger relief organization that coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid to those in need. More than 75 countries are currently being served. The goal of “Stop Hunger Now” is to end hunger in the current generation’s lifetime.

The meal packing program provides volunteers the opportunity to package dehydrated, high protein, and highly nutritious meals that are used primarily to support development programs and save lives in developing countries.

The Hopewell event is open to all ages.

The church is at 351 Jenkins Rd., directly across from Sandy Creek High School. For more information contact the church office, 770-306-7537, or the project coordinator, David Hoyt, 678-850-8145 or by email at DR.Hoyt7@gmail.com
