0Erin Chasey, a sixth grader at Rising Starr Middle School, returned to her elementary school, Cleveland Elementary, to perform “Georgia On My Mind” with Sheila Raye Charles, the daughter of Ray Charles.
Charles continues her father’s legacy in his dedication to education by traveling nationwide and speaking to schools overcoming bullying and the importance of making quality personal choices. She also performs music with positive lyrics to inspire students to be their personal best. While in Fayette County, she spoke and performed for Cleveland’s third-fifth graders and the eighth graders at Bennett’s Mill Middle School. Photo/Special.
