Family and Friends Day planned
New Hope United Methodist Church’s Annual Family and Friends Day will  be Sunday,  Feb. 16,  at 2:30 p.m.. The guest speaker will be  the Rev. Tamarkus Cook of St. Smyrna Baptist Church in Newnan. New Hope is at 272 Weldon Rd. Fayetteville. The Rev. Dr. Aubrey Thompson is the pastor.

Genealogy fair offered at LDS church
The Fayetteville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will present a free Fayetteville Family History Fair on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 2021 Redwine Road, Fayetteville.  The event will feature keynote speaker Roger Hoffman, director of the Newnan Family History Center, and will offer classes on beginning research, Internet research, and overcoming brick walls. Refreshments and displays will be available. The public is invited.

Real Talk for Women Seminar planned
Dr. Carolyn Driver, founding pastor of Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM), located at 114 W. Campbellton St., Fairburn, will host a free Real Talk for Women Seminar on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. This is a seminar for women and young women only. In addition to Driver, Pastor Sandra Clements and Pastor Bola Adepoju will be presenters at the seminar. These leaders have a cumulative total of 96 years ministry and leadership experience.   For more information and/or directions,  call the CDM office at 770-969-8370.
