0Just because Peachtree City Municipal Court had to close for the snow Wednesday doesn’t mean defendants who were slated to appear will get a free pass.
Instead, those defendants will get a notice in the mail in coming days of being scheduled for a special session of court on Friday, Feb. 28.
The notices went out in the mail Friday to defendants so they can plan in advance.
In the first three months of the fiscal year, the city took in just over $200,000 in fines and forfeitures from municipal court. The court meets every Wednesday for either arraignments or bench trials.
