The Episcopal Church of the Nativity will mark “Souper Bowl Sunday” at its 10 a.m. service on Feb. 2 with the in-gathering of canned goods for needy individuals and families. Nativity holds the activity every year on the same day as the annual Super Bowl game.

“While many of us once again will enjoy seeing the action on TV on a cold Sunday afternoon and evening, we also don’t want to forget the many who are hungry, homeless and cold,” said the Rev. Rita Renault, rector. “Besides, setting aside this food Sunday morning will leave plenty of time to see the festivities later in the day.”

Foods will be sent to Fayette Samaritans.
