Alan R. Baker, 62, of Fayetteville, passed away November 8, 2013.
He was a member of Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church and retired from Georgia Power after 29 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Jean Baker.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Akins Baker of Fayetteville; daughters Stephanie (Lee) Peck of Covington, Tasha (Jeff) Bucy of Jacksonville, Fla. and Jennifer Smith of Covington; grandchildren Ryan, Lauren, Michael, Madison, Ben, Faith, Caleb and Josie; brother Ronnie (Fran) Baker of Douglasville; sister Debbie (Billy) Bishop of Jackson and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Monday, November 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Reverend Dennis Watson officiated. Burial followed at Eastlawn Memorial Park, McDonough. The family received friends Sunday from 3 until 6 p.m.
