Linda Prosser, 65, of Newnan passed away Monday, September 2, 2013. She was born in Kenmare, N.D. to the late, Hugh & Arliss (Optiz) Couey.
A meaningful life is not being rich, being popular, being highly educated or being perfect. It Is about being real, being humble, being strong and being able to share ourselves and touch the lives of others.
Changing the world is good for those who want their names in books. But being happy, that is for those who write their names in the lives of others, and hold the hearts of others as the treasures most dear. Linda lead an extraordinarily meaningful, happy life, touching the lives of everyone she came across. And in turn, our memories of her will always be treasured.
She is survived by her children, David and Chris Prosser, grandchildren, Daisy and William Prosser, and companion Allen Stanley. She is also survived by her siblings, Jon Couey, Donald Couey, Karen Couey Jeffords, Sarah Couey Niebruegge & Leon Couey and her extended family at the YMCA.
The memorial service is Friday, September 6, 2013 at 4 p.m. at Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church, 2651 E. Hwy 16, Sharpsburg, Ga. 30277 with Rev. Dan Dixon officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to either Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church or to Summit Family YMCA, 1765 Hwy 34 East, Newnan, Ga. 30265.
