Liberty Hill AME’s revival starts tonight
Liberty Hill African Methodist Episcopal (AME) in Sharpsburg will hold its summer revival Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 28-30, at 7 p.m.  The host pastor is the Rev. Fred Forsh.   The evangelists will be Pastor C. J. Holliman of Greater Mt. Zion AME Church in Newnan on Wednesday, Pastor Anthony Slaughter of New Hope AMEC in Senoia on Thursday, and Pastor William Watkins of Mt. Zion of Grassdale MissionaryBaptist Church in Cartersville.  Liberty Hill is at 210 Minix Road, just off Fisher Road in Coweta County.

Merrill Chapel plans revival Aug. 28-30
Merrill Chapel United Methodist Church (UMC) will hold its annual revival services Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 28-30,  at 7:30 p.m.  The host pastor is the Rev. Richard Gilbert. Guest preachers will be the Rev. Kimberly Lyons, pastor of Flipper Chapel A. M. E. Church in Fayetteville on Wednesday, the Rev. Lenton Snow, pastor of Leete Chapel UMC in West Point on Thursday, and the Rev. Elaine Gilbert, pastor of St. Mary’s UMC in LaGrange, on Friday.  Merrill Chapel UMC is in Fayetteville at 430 South Jeff Davis Drive.

Whitewater celebrating 5th anniversary
WhiteWater Church in Fayetteville is having its Fifth Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. Following the celebration, there will be a brief groundbreaking ceremony for the new addition. ‘Noah’ play to be presented
“Noah and the Big Big Boat,” an original play, will be presented at Sharpsburg Baptist Church on Friday, Sept 5  at 7 p.m.  and Saturday, Sept 6 at 2 and 7 p.m.  The cost is $10 for adults; children under 12 are free. The plot deals with what might happen if the ark was finished, the flood was coming, and Noah’s youngest son Japheth was not married yet. The comedy is suitable for all ages. ESL classes begin at Carriage Lane
Free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes for adults begin Friday, Sept. 6, and meet weekly through May 16, 2014 at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, PCA,  in Peachtree City.  Students can join at any time.  Classes are held on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.  Childcare is provided. CDM to host prophetic service
