0The Starr’s Mill boys tennis team won the state AAAAA tennis championship 3-0 over Union Grove Saturday afternoon.
Frank Rogers won at No.1 singles 6-1, 6-0, Alex Borovsky won at No.2 singles 6-0, 6-0, and the No.1 doubles team of Blake Traeger/ Sebastian Schneider won 6-2, 6-0.
As for the ladies’ team, they suffered a finals loss with a 2-3 outcome against Lakeside-Evans.
The team was led at the No.2 singles spot with a 6-0, 6-0 win by Rachael Williams, and a win at No.1 doubles by the team of Kailey Inhulsen/ Shannon McKillip with a score of 6-2, 6-2.
