Brooks thrift shop plans sale this weekend
Second Chance Thrift Shop in Brooks will have a huge sale this weekend, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (March 7, 8, and 9). All shoes and winter clothes are just $1. Lots of winter clothing ( leather jackets, boots, and name brand sweaters) are still available. Many Easter-themed items are being offered for sale also. All proceeds from the shop go to support local missions as well as Brooks United Methodist Church.

Immigration forum planned at Holy Trinity
Kuck Immigration will present a free Immigration Forum on Sunday, March 10, at 3 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 101 Walt Banks Rd. Peachtree City. Univision 34 Atlanta will moderate the forum. Issues such as Immigration reform, family based green cards, provisional waivers and DACA will be addressed followed by a question and answer session. Ivan Parker in concert at Ramah
Ivan Parker will be in Concert on Saturday, April 6 at 6 p.m. at Ramah First Baptist Church, 502 Ramah Drive, Palmetto. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are available in the church office, 770-463-3516.

Fish fry continues at St. Gabriel’s
St. Gabriel Catholic ChurchCouncil 11458 continues its Annual Lenten Fish Fry for the next three Fridays, March 8, 15, and 22. The first plate will be served at 5:30 p.m. and will consist of tilapia, baked and fried options. Adult meals are $8 per plate. Children’s meals are $5 per plate Family meals are capped at $32 per family -— 2 adult and 4 child plates. Additional servings will be at the per plate price.
