COS invites middle schoolers to Blast Night
Middle schoolers are invited to “Blast Night” at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church on Jan. 19 from 6 p.m.-midnight at the church. To celebrate the new year and the holiday weekend the group will enjoy games, food, and even silliness.For more information or to sign up to attend, call the church office, 770-487-8717 and talk with Melissa Jacobson, director of middle school and family ministries. The church is in Peachtree City on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway.

COS offers new Bible study on Tuesdays
A new in-depth Bible study meets on Tuesday mornings at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City. This small group assembles at 9:30 a.m. at the church. For six weeks they will encounter characters from the book of Genesis. All are welcome. For information, call 770-487-8717.

Ugandan Thunder choir to perform at Lisbon
Lisbon Baptist Church will host the Ugandan Thunder Children’s Choir, Wednesday, Jan. 23,  at 6:30 p.m.  The Ugandan Thunder Tour is sponsored by Pennies for Posho, a nonprofit Christian ministry that provides food, clothing, shelter, and clean drinking water to ten orphanages in Uganda. CBI sponsors dinner dance and more Jan. 26
Congregation B’nai Israel will sponsor an evening of dinner, dance, dance lessons and performances Saturday, Jan. 26, from 8 p.m. until midnight at the Newnan Community Theatre Company (#24 1st Avenue). The evening will feature the sounds of “Second Time Around.” The cost is $25 per person and includes live music and dinner. Summit offers free tutoring
The Family Resource Center at The Summit Presbyterian Church offers free tutoring for elementary and high school students. Classes meet on Wednesdays from 4-5 and 5-6 p.m. Help is offered in math, reading, homework, science, and language arts. Tutors are supervised by certified teachers.
